9:40 p.m. — Krist tella media he plans to take some time off and focus on his family.
9:34 p.m. — The crowd applauded as Krist approached the poteim. “It was a hell of a run,” he said. Though Krist did not win, Krist said he hopes Gov. Ricketts lowers property taxes and improves public education.
9:19 p.m. — Pete Ricketts leads with 54.1 percent of votes while Krist trails behind with 45.9 percent.
8:42 p.m. — “I’m optimistic that you’re looking at the next governor and lieutenant governor of the state of Nebraska,” Krist said.
7:30 p.m. — Lynne Walz is here at the Firefighters Union Hall. Krist and Walz supporters continue to file in approaching Krist’s arrival.
7:00 p.m. — The Krist campaign is set up at the Firefighters Union Hall in Omaha. Krist is expected to be here at 8 p.m. while Walz should be here soon.
