9:34 p.m. — Governor Ricketts announces that Bob Krist has officially conceded the race for Nebraska governor, confirming that Ricketts has been reelected.
9:30 p.m. — Senator Ben Sasse has taken the stage to introduce Governor Ricketts.
9:14 p.m. — The venue burst into applause and cheers upon hearing the announcement that Texan Senator Ted Cruz was leading his election over candidate Beto O’Rourke.
9:02 p.m. — Ricketts tells media that he’s “feeling confident” and is grateful for the volunteers assisting his campaign tonight.
8:03 p.m. — “We’re feeling very confident about t he governor race, but again, we’re not taking anything for granted,” said Matthew Trail, director of communications for the Ricketts campaign.
7:34 p.m. — Supporters continue to gather while awaiting an appearance from Governor Pete Ricketts. “I just want to be part of this group,” said supporter Bill Larsen. “I want to be here to help celebrate.”
