Club music blaring, one hand in the air and the other holding a drink
— that is how Creighton University student Keara Rankin lets loose after a long week of school and work. Rankin usually goes to bars downtown and knew she had to check out the latest club to open.
“I heard about Karma from Facebook,” Rankin said. “I was immediately interested because I have never been to an EDM club in Omaha.”
Karma opened its doors Feb. 1 and is located at 311 S. 15th St. Club owner Nick Hyde decided to open Karma because of his experience as a DJ.
“I was in the music scene for a long time here,” Hyde said. “I felt like I could really take over a new demographic of people.”
Karma has different DJ’s every weekend. Rankin plans on taking her study breaks there.
“It was an overall fun time,” Rankin said “There was good people, good music, good vibes, they had good drink specials and I’m very excited to go back.”
