The University of Nebraska at Omaha has always been a place for change and progress. Whether you talk structurally or academically. The UNO College of business administration recently opened its doors to the Center for Professional Sales.
Happening to be the only kind in the state of Nebraska, the center is home to 150 students and five full-time faculty members and has become a gem throughout Mammal hall.
Officially opening its door two years ago, the center has since become infamous for its success. Earning several awards in the last few months alone.
Founder Shannon Cummings, a Marketing Instructor for the UNO College of Business Administration expressed from the very beginning the potential want and need for a program such as this at UNO. Coming from the University of Wisconsin, she had begun a program similar that had resulted in over 1000 registered students and several more potential graduates.
Along with this, she expressed the idea of how a program such as this would help students understanding the value of selling and how listening can impact the end-result in the largest way possible. In the end, Cummings and many more like her see this program as becoming the pinnacle of sales and marketing education throughout the state of Nebraska.
