Family embodies trust, loyalty, and tradition. Sports embodies dedication, grit, and vulnerability. When you combine the two together, you get the Bahl family from Papillion.
The Bahl family has a total of four kids, which all participate actively in sports. Among them are Hayden, a Freshman pitcher for the Omaha Maverick baseball team, and Jordyn, an Oklahoma softball commit.
Hayden Bahl faced adversity getting to the Omaha Maverick baseball program. He required Tommy John surgery during his Junior season and Papillion -La Vista. Since he was sidelined during the entire season, his recruitment suffered. However, head coach, Evan Porter remained interested and took a chance on him.
Jordyn Bahl has been making waves throughout her high school career in softball. She statistically is among the top talent in the country. She pitched a perfect 27-0 season and capped it off with the 2019 state championship.
Both Hayden and Jordyn expressed their mental state while on the mound. They are physically demanding when staring down a batter. More importantly, they have honed on their mental state of the game in order to become whole with the sport.
