The second installment of the Chuck Hagel forum in Global Leadership will be taking place on February 26th at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Students and members of the populace will gather to listen to former Secretary of State, John Kerry speak on topics of global importance.
“I think it’s really really important, it’s very exciting as well too. Not a lot of students get the opportunity, especially at different campuses, so we are very grateful that we have such a great partnership.”
That’s what UNO student body president, Aya Yousef said in regard to the importance of the Chuck Hagel forum in global leadership. Yousef also reiterates that it will be a very memorable part of the “Maverick experience.”
“This is an event for the students, we’ve created opportunities for students to ask most of the questions,” said Political Science Department Chair Dr. Jody Neatherly-Castro.
When asked about the future, Neatherly-Castro said, “we’re really excited about the prospect of bringing in additional leaders in future years.”
Tickets to the Chuck Hagel Forum are currently sold out, but there will be overflow rooms in the Strauss Performing Arts Center for students and community members to watch the event.
