OMAHA – Nebraska native Drew Dober is currently ranked number 15 in the light weight division, getting ready to fight his next opponent on November 7. Dober has finished his last two opponents with impressive knockout wins, and rightfully taking his fight of the night bonus.
Being Nebraska raised means “You have the small town mentality… the urge to prove myself because I come from Nebraska,” Dober said.
Putting long hours into training is something he is doing to prepare for his upcoming fight. Dober hasn’t been afraid to learn new techniques, his mother Denise said, “He showed interest in kickboxing at the age of 12,” from there he has just grown and learned the techniques that have come his way.
Growing as a fighter means having to make some sacrifices along the way. Leaving the comforts of home, which is Nebraska, to move and train out of Colorado has been something Dober had to do.
Nebraska nice is something Dober does well giving time to his fans and always being humble but once you get him inside the octagon he defiantly unleashes the beast inside him. Dober is ready to show his skills and eventually fight for the title. His mother Denise said, “I just want everyone to love him as much as I do because he’s a wonderful man.”
