Workshop Omaha sells trendy streetwear and vintage gear in the Old Market

OMAHA – Workshop Omaha opened its doors earlier this month selling streetwear brands like Supreme, Bape and Palace. The shop also sells thrifted clothing and vintage gems. It’s located downtown in the alley of 1125 Jackson Ave. The basement boutique offers Omaha fashionista’s a place to buy, sell and trade clothing for a reasonable price. Customers can also trade-in clothing for instore credit.

The store sells collectible Nike and Jordan shoes, plus vintage sports memorabilia.

Shop owners Trey Mathew and Stefan Drincic have been collecting and selling streetwear for almost a decade. The experts decided Omaha needed a creative resell shop.

Mathew said bigger cities across the country have shops similar to Workshop Omaha which buy, sell and trade streetwear and skateboarding brands.  “You know, the metro just didn’t have a creative clothing outlet for people interested – the demand was there and the shop kind of just happened,” he said.

Workshop Omaha highly emphasizes sustainability practices – their goal is to keep fabrics out of landfills. Drincic said, “We don’t do the whole fast fashion thing. Places like H&M sell their stuff cheap – people wear it once take a pic and then throw it away. That’s messed up.”

Located at 1125 Jackson Ave, Workshop Omaha is a unique men’s clothing store.

The shop is a reflection of skateboard culture. They sell Nike SB’s (Nike Skateboarding) and retro Nike Air Jordans. Their sneaker collection is slowly being built. Customers can purchase Supreme memorabilia like umbrellas and skateboards.

“We’re just getting started,” Mathew said.
