Copps Pizza Co. still booming with business during the pandemic

Copps Pizza Co. in Omaha and Papillion is business as usual. Home of the cream cheese pizza, it is one of a kind to food lovers.

Co-owner Kris Copps and his father, William, started the company  in October 2019 and recently opened the second store in October 2020, in the middle of COVID-19.

That didn’t stop the culture of Copps Pizza Co, just slowed it down a bit.

“Having people coming from the Kansas City area, which is mostly take out,” said Kris Copps, “combine that with Omaha which is mostly dine in; it really felt like we’ve been prepared.”

Food lovers, specifically those who will devour pizza and wings, can satisfy their hunger at Copps Pizza Co. along with the outstanding customer service.

Manager Ashley Fitton said she believes that customer service is the driving force behind the successes of the business and keeps customers coming back again and again.

“The successes that we’ve had since the opening of the second location here in Papillion … we’ve got a secret [customer service],” she said.

People may think Copps Pizza Co. is known only for their pizza, wings and sandwiches, but one should not take their eyes off the homemade cheesecakes. Kris Copps’ wife, Jerika, is the sole maker of these cheesecakes. The case at Copps Pizza Co. normally has three or four showing at a time but they are certainly a money maker.

Copps Pizza Co. in Papillion is open every day starting at 11 a.m. and attracts roughly 300 to 400 people on the weekends.
