This event marks the 20th anniversary of Netwar and to celebrate they have come together with many sponsors and vendors to deliver a full schedule of activities for participants to enjoy.
Netwar’s Founder and President Travis Kreikemeier said they have teamed up with The Gamers Oasis, Rik’s Random Retro, Tiny Whoop Drone Racers, and Omaha Virtual Reality to give event goers plenty to do on top usual LAN experience.
Kreikemeier said, “for our 20 years we got a lot of things put together to have additional activities to do at the event, more than just our traditional gaming that our attendees love to come for, we have expanded out with additional sponsor and additional booths.”
In addition to gaming and the various planned activities proceeds of the event also go to a good cause. Netwar is a local Omaha non-profit organization built entirely of volunteer workers and is teaming up with Gamers Outreach to provide gaming kiosks for local hospitals to provide entertainment for patients.
Kreikemeier said, “We’re trying to support the local community and the last four years we have partnered with Gamers Outreach who designed and built medical grade gaming kiosks for hospitals, so we’ve partnered closely with them… we are funding these carts for Omaha hospitals.”
