OMAHA, Neb. – Businesspeople from all around Omaha attended a soiree hosted by Omaha Magazine. The purpose of the soirée was to honor the winners and nominees of the annual Best of Omaha competition. Attendees had access to a plethora of free samples from Best of Omaha winners as well as libations and various forms of entertainment.
“People see that logo and recognize it and right away they know it’s the Best of Omaha,” said Omaha Magazine Graphic Designer Nickie Robinson.

Unlike traditional award ceremonies, there was no time taken to individually honor the award winners. There are 393 categories and three placers for every category meaning there are nearly 1,200 opportunities for Omaha businesses to use the logo.
Omaha Magazine has been praised in the form of awards for their voting system. Every email that is used to vote for the award is vetted to make sure there is no foul play.

According to Best Business Awards when a small business wins an award like this it can be responsible for a 63 percent increase in income. Despite the copious number of opportunities for businesses to win awards, the logo is still well-recognized throughout the city of Omaha.
