Health and wellness expo at Baxter Arena

The 12th annual Omaha Health Expo was held in Aksarben Village, as hundreds of vendors and thousands of attendees filled Baxter Arena on Saturday and Sunday.

“There are so many temptations in life such as bad food, and inactivity. We’re getting more sedentary. People need to just get up and move, and just by doing that, it’ll help you feel better and make you want to live a better life,” says Buddy Vincent, commercial sales manager at Body Basics fitness equipment in Omaha.

The expo started at the Omaha Civic Auditorium for two years, moved to the CHI Health Center for six years, and now has been at Baxter Arena for four years. The director of the Omaha Health Expo shares the importance of this event.

“Every year we average about 300 to 350 exhibitors, seminars and feature presentations that go on both days. Our company puts on different events in the Midwest, and this is one of them that we are very excited about promoting health, and educating people on ways to live a better life,” says Bob Mancuso of Mid-America Expositions.

The next upcoming event held by this company will be Taste of Omaha, filled with entertainment and food, which will be May 31-June 2 in downtown Omaha.
