ORBT, Omaha Rapid Bus Transit, will be making its debut in Omaha next fall of 2020. ORBT plans to offer smoother transportation services as well as the opportunity to get to downtown easier without having to pay for parking. Buses will be able to arrive every 10 minutes during rush hour and will have free WIFI access. The ORBT bus stations are currently under construction on Dodge street.
UNO student Michael Castillo says“to be honest I’m surprised it took so long cause ever since I moved here the transit system isn’t exactly efficient, there’s limited times, the frequency isn’t up to stat.”
ORBT will be launching in the spring of 2020 for a test run and then it will officially be finalizing the route later that fall.
