Cameron Logsdon, Communication Professor at the University of Nebraska Omaha, is a figure of intuition and success for college students. As a single father since he was a teenager, Logsdon has earned a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree all while being a voice for being you best self.
“No matter what happens, you don’t have to give up any part of what could be your dream, right? If you want to teach, if you want to go to college, if you want to chase your big dream and do whatever it is you want to do, you can do it. It’s all about time management, it’s all about helping other people and other people will help you,” Logsdon said.
Logsdon’s persona can be seen it a variety of ways throughout the metro area. For instance, he is the television spokesman for Zio’s Pizza, and Sid Dillon. Additionally, Logsdon is widely popular on YouTube with his comedic aroma. His Omaha Explained video has over 14,000 views and he continues to receive attention to this day.
Logsdon’s sense of humor and experienced outlook on life provided him the opportunity to speak at TEDxUNO in 2015. The event held at the Strauss Performing Arts Center, he discusses how being a teenage father impacted his life and how his son, now 13 years old, gave him a surge of life.
“I was equipped for that situation at all, but I was scared, but I turned that fear into motivation and that what’s I did,” Logsdon said.
In the end, Logsdon wishes to be a professional role model for college students, and more importantly, a role model for his teenage son.
