Papillion church construction on track to finish with a surge of energy by start of January

OMAHA – Trinity Lutheran Church is set to open its new church that is currently being built, on the set date of January 1 of next year. The project which has not been affected by the ongoing pandemic is making strides in becoming the new home for the Church’s congregation.

Carrie Nash and Victoria Tomanek give an exclusive insight on the progression of the new church, and what local Papillion church goers think about it.

“There hasn’t been any real effect on the progress of the church and in fact the building never stopped,” said Nash, who is a member of the church council at Trinity.

Carrie also explains how excited the new staff is to move into their new building. She explains that their new offices, and other things that they can use that will benefit them and their job positions.

“Staff has had a chance to tour the building on a number of occasions throughout the building process and it’s been really nice to see the progress and see it take shape, and then just kind of see the new spaces before we actually get in there. Everybody’s very excited about it and very positive about it for the most part,” said Nash.

With there being no real progression change on the building of the new Trinity Lutheran Church, many congregation members have mixed feelings about the project. Nash explains to us that there are some of the congregation members that have different feelings about the new church and why.

“There’s mixed feelings. I think there are people who are super excited about it. And the whole being in one building is definitely a draw,” said Nash.

Victoria Tomanek, another member at Trinity Lutheran Church explains her excitement and the purpose of the new church being built.

“We want it to be a place where new people can come and multi-generational families, ages, friends, that kind of stuff to come and join,” said Tomanek.

With many other construction sites around the country shutting down because of the pandemic, Trinity seems to shine through it in an evangelical way. More information about Trinity, and the church project can be found on Trinity Lutheran’s website at Trinitylife.org.
