OMAHA – With a quick break and then final papers and final exams coming up shortly after, UNO students have a lot to handle right now. Professors are still going over material and giving assignments that will be on the finals. But for UNO students like Grant Polenz, the preparing starts very shortly.
“That’s my process, I have been using that process for a very long time, that two weeks before finals week is kind of what I have been consistently doing,” Polenz said.
There are so many different ways to study these days. From looking at quizlets over the material to reading the notebook you have used all semester to take notes, Polenz said one way works best for him.
“Mostly from my past notes is what I study,” he said. “Then I put like page numbers in my notes with definitions and stuff.”
UNO final exams are set for the week starting Monday December 14th and finish on Thursday December 17th.
With the coronavirus pandemic still having an effect, UNO final exams have moved all online this semester, which for some students like Samuel Roth, can be a bit of a change from the in-person paper and pencil finals.
“I think it is going to be good. I think it will be less stressful. I think I will have the time I need and I think it will go pretty well for me,” Roth said.
UNO will have several de-stressing events on campus the week of finals so if you are having a tough time, check those out on the UNO website.
