Halloween Houses in Bellevue Nebraska

By Riley McCall BELLEVUE, Neb.- As Halloween approaches, Bellevue, Nebraska is home to some of the most impressive and spooky displays in the state.

The first house, located near South 32nd Street and Westport Circle, boasts an eerie atmosphere complete with a glowing witch, ominous pumpkins, and spooky pumpkin heads. A large scarecrow stands nearby, adding an extra layer of fright. Homeowner Troy Kroupa shared his vision for the display, saying, “I want them to be scared, I want them to really enjoy it, and want to come to my house.” Kroupa hopes to continue expanding his display to attract even more visitors, both young and old. The haunting display is best viewed at night, when the glowing pumpkins and fire-lit window truly come to life.

Meanwhile, another standout house on Blackhawk Drive features illuminated skeletons, a ghoulish tree, a werewolf, and even a Chucky doll from the popular horror franchise. Fog blankets the yard, enhancing the spooky atmosphere. Homeowner Osiel Mejia explained that the setup began on September 1st and was completed piece by piece. “It’s been up since September 1st, but I’ve been doing one big one at a time. If we did all of them at once, it would probably take me at least two or four days,” said Mejia.
