The Omaha Central Library is set to open on April 19, where people can view local artwork, enjoy the vast selection of books, spend time in the café and garden, or host events. This new library has access to tons of creative materials for people of all ages.

The café is owned by Zen Coffee and will be directly attached to the library, as well as the new garden outside which will feature Nebraska native grown plants.
When it comes to new technology available in the Omaha Central Library, a new automated storage and retrieval system is being implemented to allow creative works like books and movies to be delivered directly to the help desk upon request.
After speaking with the Omaha Public Library Partnerships Manager Amy Mather, it is made clear just how much people can do in this new space. “It’s for everyone.”

With technology like 3D printers, laser cutters, printing tools and computer labs on top of the vast offerings of creative work, this library is filled to the brim with offerings for everyone.
If you are interested in an early look on the first floor of the new Omaha Central Library, there will be a reading event on April 7th, in which you will be able to bring your own material and read on the first floor of the new library before the official opening.
