OMAHA, Neb- As Midterms are underway at the University of Nebraska-Omaha students look for different options to spend their time dealing with their mental health. October is mental health awareness month, and students seek counseling to deal with either academic or personal problems. Nathan Bock, director of CAPS and a therapist gives his insight into what the community do for each other.
“So that we can enhance community for students” Bock says, “the more they will be effective with midterms and paper and tests and just in general all the things that go with school because they will have that support system, they’re going to have someone to go to the library with or go to the coffee shop”

The University spends time doing events to give students a break with they got going on and to spend time with people, Tyler Berry, a UNO student makes sure to tell what he believes students should be wary of.
“The worst thing you can do in my opinion is isolate yourself” Berry says, “because that gives out more problems and holding everything in just makes it worse the more and more it builds up and comes out so I think mental health is really important especially taking the time right that you need to get your mind right doing whatever makes you happy”.

Mental health is important to everyone and should be handled with care.
