The dance floor was set as students waited to enter the ballroom. 
Silhouettes were placed in front of the dance floor inviting the students to enter. 
Decorations were placed on tables setting the masquerade like mood. 
The center piece on the stage. 
Tables were setup for games and cake after the dancing lesson. 
Last minute preparations were being done prior to the ballroom in the Milo Bail Student Center opening. 
The first students entered the ballroom dressed up and excited to learn. 
Some UNO faculty even dressed up for the event.

Not many showed up right away but, by the end about 30 UNO students attended. 
For the 20 students who pre – registered for the event, they received these tickets for the event. 
UNO Dance Club President Daniel Ewart and Vice President McKenzie McClure lead the dance lessons throughout the night. 
The students were separated into leads (left) and follows (right) to begin. 
Some students were uncomfortable initially but as they got the hang of the Waltz and Tango, they were all more confident. 
The students rotated to show they could change partners as rotation is a common thing in the ballroom according to club President Daniel Ewar t. 
When the students were split up Ewart and McClure set up taught each side independently.
On March 13 the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) dance club hosted the Black and White Masquerade in the Milo Bail Student Center Ballroom on UNO’s Dodge campus.
It was the first event of its kind hosted by the club and according to the club’s recruiter, Melissa Bush, they hope it can become a campus tradition.
Club President Daniel Ewart, and Vice President Mackenzie McClure, lead the dance lessons portion of the event. During the event the Waltz and Tango were taught, two common ballroom dances. The students were taught in two groups, leads and follows. After the dance lessons students played games and enjoyed cake.
About 20 students pre-registered for the event, which was a little underwhelming to the club but, they did not know how many to expect as they started advertising for the event late. In the end about 30 students attended the event.
The UNO dance club meets every Monday night and is open to all students.
