OMAHA – Hurts Donut Co. is a popular donut destination, it has been a mainstay with our neighboring Lincolnites, the franchise has now made its way to the Omaha Metro. The owner of the Omaha location, Lindsey Jochim believes that Hurts Donuts provide a unique experience for customers.
“We love the quirkiness, we love the fun atmosphere, the 24/7, like you don’t get that, like anytime of day you can come in here and grab a donut,” said Jochim.
Despite the fun and engaging atmosphere, running a 24/7 donut shop requires a lot of preparation and hours.
“At all times (we are) having to make products, so it takes two hours for yeast so we have to keep everything going 24/7,” said Jochim.
With a constant workflow, and a line that often trails outside of the door, Jochim has a message for her hungry and eager patrons.
Jochim said, “We’re trying and we’re doing our best and we’ll get you through that line as fast as possible.”
The work of Jochim, her husband, and their crew of 95 employees seem to be paying off according to Hurts Donuts fan, Aaron Brown.
“I liked it, I mean it’s not like traditional donuts like you’d walk into a normal donut store. I liked looking at the different variety of donuts,” said Brown.
According to Lindsey Jochim, she told us what her business hinges on. “We could not do this without each and every one of our team. They’re amazing.”
