OMAHA, Neb.— The Omaha Baseball Team is in full swing of its season as conference play is beginning to heat up.

Reporter Cody Harms said Junior Eddy Rosario contributes to the team in more ways than on the diamond.

Omaha catcher Eddy Rosario has seen an increased role in head coach Evan Porter’s line-up this season but said playing time isn’t his main priority.

“I’m just trying to help the team right now. That’s always been my goal. Win a championship and I like to win,” Eddy said.

Like most college students, Eddy also needed an income. What started off as something to make money, quickly grew into a passion.

When Eddy’s not behind the plate catching… he’s behind the barbershop chair giving his teammates the perfect fade.

“I say okay let me try this, I think it’ll be cool. So, I tried it with some of my teammates and I liked it, so I started looking at videos and kept practicing on some of my guys and on myself a lot,” said Eddy.

Among the many Omaha athlete’s hair Eddy cuts, his teammate Eddie Satisky is a regular customer. Satisky says he was shown a couple of pictures and put all his trust in Eddy.

Satisky said, “I was looking for a new barber. New city, new barber so a lot of the guys told me that we had a barber on the team.”

The Omaha Baseball team heads to Oral Roberts this weekend for a series before hosting Nebraska on Tuesday.
