OMAHA, Neb- It’s spooky season here in Omaha, and people may be curious about places they can go to have some Halloween fun. Downtown Omaha provides a home for some of the city’s greatest attractions. One of those attractions is the Museum of Shadows, where you can find all sorts of artifacts associated with the unnatural.

“Well, the museum has been voted one of the most haunted museums in the world. We do have the largest collection of verified haunted artifacts. We’ve been open for six years now,” museum owner, Nate Ratterman says.

One of the museums residents, “Ayda,” hangs out in her display while watching the visitors.( Photo/Tague).

Ratterman says that all of their new artifacts go through a specific quarantine process when they are first brought in, to ensure that there is some sort of other-worldly attachment to it.

There is also a forensic screening protocol in place, because different items have been involved in fatal accidents.

“Yeah, it’s just a whole different vibe. You really are stepping into a different realm, a different universe,” museum visitor, Addy Arrick says.

The museum brings in a priest twice every day to bless the space and keep the energy under control and maintain a safe spot for visitors to experience.

They also have been featured on the Discovery and Travel channel, and they have their own show airing on Amazon Prime called “The Museum of Shadows.”
