The event was at Stinson Park, at Aksarben, where many people gathered to look at the event, even in the rain, as the weather poured through the day, many still came to watch the event. Cara Grefe,
“We are continuously making process” Grefe said, “making research happen that wouldn’t happen without the funding these programs, things like Light the Night provide, so getting closer, and I see process every day”
Many people volunteered to be apart of this exciting event from around the Aksarben area, volunteers like Max Von Leer states that “I hope it brings some happiness and joy to these people’s lives” Von Leer enjoyed his time at Light the Night to see everyone gather around.

Von Leer also states “I hope we can raise some funds to help with treatment”
Light the Night lasts from the day to nightfall as people gathered around with lanterns, listening to stories from those who loss people from blood cancer, or who have beat blood cancer throughout and made sure that they honored those with red, yellow, and white lanterns.

After the conference ended, many walked with these lanterns to support this event, as fireworks also went off through the night.
Light the Night was a beautiful event that marked how people support each other through dark times.
