OMAHA, Neb.
The Central Omaha area is known for its constant traffic, high population, and constant changes. After the demolition of the Crossroads Mall in 2021, the area around 72nd and Dodge Street has felt as though something is missing. Luckily, Omaha residents will soon see what has been worked on behind the scenes.
Woodbury Development has been working to reimagine the Crossroads area, with a goal of bringing more to do in Central Omaha. The current development plan includes vast underground parking, a Gamescape building, new shopping areas, restaurants, and more.
Josh Berger, Director of Development at Woodbury, spoke on how the development on Crossroads is going, and what people can expect to see.
“By this time next year, we’ll have about two thirds of the Crossroads under development.”
As Omaha continues to expand in certain areas, it is important for Omaha residents to know why this construction happens, and why it matters so much to the greater Omaha area. Omaha resident Todd Robinson shared his thoughts on why Omaha’s growth is so important.
